Nervous or anxious?
Tell us when you book. The practice is used to patients who have put dentistry off for years: appointments move at your pace, everything is explained before it happens, and a dental anxiety questionnaire is available in the new patient forms.
The legacy page says sedation options are available for patients who need additional support; this is recorded as a statement to confirm with the practice.

How long does a new patient examination take?
Your first appointment usually takes around 40 minutes. This gives us enough time to listen to your concerns, carry out a detailed assessment, take two small X-rays, and discuss our findings with you properly — without rushing. Will I have X-rays taken at my first visit?
In most cases, yes. We typically take two small digital X-rays to check the areas between your back teeth. If a specific tooth needs further investigation, we may require additional X-ray to assess the full tooth and root structure. Any imaging is only taken where clinically necessary. In most cases, yes. What happens after my examination?
Once your assessment is complete, we’ll sit you up and clearly explain everything we’ve found in plain English. If treatment is straightforward, we can usually provide an estimate and help you book your next visit before you leave. For more complex cases, we may arrange a second appointment to carefully prepare a detailed treatment plan.
